Topic Group Updates (June 25, 2021)

The seven initial topic groups are making progress with gathering resources and building out the wiki. Thanks to the great team leads, wiki editors, and members helping to make that progress happen! Updates for the topic groups can be found here here.

If you are interested in participating with any the IWG topic groups, please email AIC.ImagingWG@gmail.com and we will get you connected with the team leads.

We are also working to add a couple of new topic groups focusing on metadata and standards! We need some additional help with these, so please let us know if you are interested in participating at any level (co-lead, wiki editor, or member). Imaging Technique Topic Groups

We are moving forward with the development of the Imaging Wiki with seven initial topic groups focusing on the following imaging techniques: visible light imaging (VIS), X-ray, Infrared imaging (IR), Ultraviolet imaging (UV), False Color (FC) Processing, Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI), and 3D imaging. We hope you are interested in joining one of these groups to help with gathering resources and developing the Imaging Wiki. These are only the initial topic groups - there will be more topics to come as the Imaging Wiki continues to develop.

The initial topic group meetings will be held on two days. The IWG leadership team will host these two Zoom meetings, and the topic groups will meet as breakout sessions from the full meeting. Plan on attending the meeting that includes the topic group you are interested in. You do not need to attend both meetings. Participants will need to be on Zoom 5.3.0 or later to self-select Breakout Rooms during the meeting.

• Friday, January 15 at 11am ET – Topic Groups: RTI, 3D Imaging, IR Imaging
• Monday, January 25 at 11am ET – Topic Groups: VIS, UV Imaging, False Color Processing, X-ray

We will provide information about the virtual meetings in January. If you are not already on the IWG email list, contact the IWG team at AIC.ImagingWG@gmail.com and we will get you added.

How can you contribute to more than one topic group? You are welcome to join more than one topic group. If the groups you want to join are meeting on the same day, just join one group on the meeting day and email the IWG leadership team AIC.ImagingWG@gmail.com to get connected with any other groups.

How should people get connected with the team leads if they are not able to attend? If you are unable to attend the meeting, email the IWG leadership team AIC.ImagingWG@gmail.com to let us know which group you’d like to join and we will connect you with the team leads.
