Project:Privacy policy
The American Institute for Conservation (AIC) requires a full name and email address to create accounts with editing access (Creator access). This information is also used to register Creators for AIC's online community for wiki users. Other information may be voluntarily provided when registering for the wiki forum used for discussion on current and future digital platforms. AIC does not share personal information with organizations other than our contracted partners that provide online services; those partners include our membership database host, website developer, and online community and learning platforms. AIC will not sell any user or personal information.
AIC's wiki uses Google Analytics to learn more about our platform's usage. Reports are run quarterly or semi-annually to discover the number of users in a given time period, their country, and whether they are using mobile or desktop devices. This information is tracked using a cookie that Google places on your device when you visit. We use this information to make sure our content is useful to our visitors and welcome feedback about our web content and structure to allow for easier access.
