Amalia Siatou is a professional Conservator-Restorer from Greece working as a freelance under the affiliation "revive-art.works". Holds a licence for private practice from the Greek Ministry of Culture since 2008. She specializes in the conservation -restoration of metals, stone, potery, glass and mosaics dated from prehistoric to modern objects and builing elements.

  • PhD candidate, ESR Marie Curie Fellow, in Imaging and Computer Vistion from the University of Bourgundy, Dijon, France. Thesis under the laboratory of Imaging and Artificial Vision: "Characterisation of the corrosion of historical metals by employing Imaging and Computer Vision"
  • MSc in Chemistry and Material Technology from the University of Ioannina, Greece. Thesis under the laboratory of Applied Metalurgy: "Study of corrosion forms on metal archaeological objects deriving from non-hostile environment"
  • BA in Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece. Thesis under the laboratory of Metals Conservation: "Comparison of declorination methods for aluminium alloys from underwater WWII aircraft".

Amalia is curently a research assistant at Haute-Ecole Arc Conservation-Restoration in Neuchatel, Switzerland where she works on her PhD research under the auspices of the EU funded project CHANGE-ITN
