Project:AIC Wiki Coordinator Position Announcements
Introduction to Wiki Leadership[edit source]
AIC wiki content is created by AIC members and non-members. Most content is generated through collaborations led by AIC's various Specialty Groups, Committees and Networks which have developed their own processes for appointing volunteer leaders. Over the years, various terms have been used for volunteer leaders including Chair, Compiler, Editor. In 2024, AIC's Wiki Working Group discussed developing a consistent vocabulary for positions and recommended that the leader of wiki content groups be called Coordinators. The group also recommended sharing position announcements for reference. Below are prior calls for Wiki Coordinator positions. The language used at the time of the announcement has not been changed.

February 2022
Textile Specialty Group service opportunity!
Wiki editors serve staggered two-year terms that overlap for one year, to maintain continuity on projects and to allow for mentorship; they are appointed by the TSG chair. The editors take overall responsibility for maintaining and improving the TSG wiki and associated resources, communicating with compilers, contributors, and the wider membership, and delivering an annual report on Wiki activities. The editorial team is expected to meet/confer frequently throughout the year.
While editors are expected to have been trained and approved to contribute to the AIC wiki before they begin their service, enthusiasm and commitment to improving our online resources are the most important characteristics needed.
More information about how the wiki works can be found in the attached guidance document (which may also be found in the online TSG library). With questions, or to express your interest in being considered for this role, please contact Jennifer Cruise and Kaelyn Garcia, at the TSG Wiki Group email: textilespecialtygroup.wiki@gmail.com.
